GACS open meeting: 1 October 2015

The General Advisory Committee on Science (GACS) is issuing an open invitation to its 16th meeting, which will be held in London on Thursday 1 October 2015.

GACS provides independent challenge and advice on how the Food Standards Agency collects and uses scientific evidence. At the meeting the committee will be discussing reports on:

  • FSA science activities and plans
  • FSA Science, Evidence and Information Strategy Delivery Plan 2015-20
  • Scientific Advisory Committees’ activities

The Committee will also receive these two presentations:

  • 'UK agri-tech strategy skill analysis' by Professor Robert Webb
  • 'FSA work on data science' by Robin Linacre
